Enhancing maritime safety and environmental protection through PHILCAMSAT and PCG partnership

On April 7, 2025, PHILCAMSAT and the Philippine Coast Guard Maritime Safety Services Command (MSSC) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at The MAST Facility in Maragondon, Cavite.
This collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of PCG personnel through advanced simulation training and expanded initiatives in maritime safety, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection. Under the MOA, MSSC will designate a Program Coordinator to oversee activities, while both parties will establish a Joint Coordinating Committee to ensure effective implementation.
Signing on behalf of MSSC was VADM Joseph Coyme PCG, Commander, MSSC, and Capt Pol Winston Haboc, Vice President and General Manager of PHILCAMSAT. The ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the maritime sector, the PTC Group, and senior officers of the Coast Guard.
