Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator for Bulk Carrier

Course Description

This 5-day course has been created to provide participants with sufficient knowledge of the correct procedures in the cargo handling operation of a bulk carrier. It focuses on informing those ashore of how a bulk carrier operates and the dangers that exist if there is a breakdown in the communications with the ship during the cargo operation. It also includes practical exercises on the cargo operations and ballast installation performed in a simulator.

Pre-Requisites

This course is open to deck officers and other seafarers intending to board bulk carrier vessels.
